Hash A or hash B? You pick our new hash
We’ve been working on a new hash. Two of them, actually, and we can only make one.
So we’re doing what we always tell you to do: ask. This time, we’re asking you.
The kit
One gram of hash A and one gram of hash B, in matching packs, for $20 in store. No names, no notes, no hints. They’re both hash, and that’s all we’re saying until the reveal.
Even our staff don’t know which is which. Only the boss does, and the boss isn’t telling.
The kits are at the counter from Thursday, November 5. We made a set number, and when they’re gone, the test is over.
How to run a fair test
- Try them on different days, or at least with a glass of water in between.
- Try them the same way: the same pipe, or the same flower in the same kind of joint.
- Before you light anything, smell each one. Look at the colour. Feel how soft it is.
- Your card tells you which one to try first. Half the cards say A and half say B. That’s on purpose: the first one you try gets an unfair head start.
- Then ask yourself one question. Which one would you buy again?
How to vote
Every kit comes with a vote card and its own code. Vote one of two ways:
- At the counter. Fill in the card and drop it in the box.
- Online, from Monday, November 9. Scan the code on the card, or go to nativeflower.ca/vote/ and type it in.
One code, one vote. Voting closes on Sunday, December 13, at 9 pm.
The draw
Every vote is a ticket. Keep the stub with your code on it. On Friday, December 18, we draw one code, and its owner gets the first 100 g of our new hash as soon as it’s ready.
What happens next
On December 18 we’ll tell you which one won and what each one was. The winner, or a hash in the same style, becomes our new hash, and we’ll give it a name.
Most votes wins. If it’s a tie, our staff break it. They tried both blind too, and we count their votes separately.
New to hash?
This is a good place to start: two grams, two hashes, twenty dollars. Our introduction to hash covers what it is and how people use it. Our hash post covers the kinds. Or ask us at the counter. We have time.
The fine print
- You must be 19 or older to buy a kit, to vote and to win.
- The kit is $20, the in-store price. Community discounts and loyalty points apply as usual.
- One kit per customer, per visit. Kits come from what we have on the day, and they can’t go on a hold list.
- One vote per code. A code that votes online can’t vote again on a card.
- Online voting opens on Monday, November 9. Voting closes on Sunday, December 13, at 9 pm.
- Most votes wins. A tie goes to the staff vote, which we count separately.
- The draw is on Friday, December 18. We post the winning code here and in the store. Bring your stub within two weeks of the draw, and we’ll call you when the new hash is ready.
- Staff and their families can buy a kit and vote, but can’t win the draw.
Ask us anything. We have time — come in, or get in touch.
